Street food group KERB has recorded its busiest events weekend yet taking more than £800,000 of revenue over three days.

In addition to its food halls and markets, across the three days of 3-5 July, KERB says its coordinated more than 80 trader deployments across 18 simultaneous events at 10 venues.

Events included The Championships at Wimbledon, where KERB is supplying the official caterers, with seven KERB traders at the location; Silverstone, where 13 KERB traders operated across both the main event and premium trackside hospitality; and a major private client event for 15,000 guests per day and featuring 35 trader pitches across the weekend; as well as a number of private corporate events and hospitality activations across London and the South East.

The group says that large-scale events are becoming an increasingly important source of predictable, high-volume revenue.

“This weekend was a huge achievement for both our team and the incredible independent businesses we work with,” says Simon Mitchell, KERB CEO.

“Delivering 18 events simultaneously across 10 venues required months of planning and an exceptional operational effort, but seeing our traders serve more than half a million people made it all worthwhile. Clients increasingly want memorable food experiences rather than traditional event catering, and independent street food businesses are delivering exactly that.

“It’s fantastic to see so many of our traders showcasing their food at some of the UK’s biggest sporting, music and corporate events.”
