Amalfi Coast-inspired restaurant ALBA London has launched a ten-seat omakase counter serving Japanese dishes made with premium seafood sourced from southern Italy and Japan.

Officially launching later this month, the concept has been developed by creative chef Dmytro Pak, who previously worked at acclaimed Paris sushi restaurant UNI.

The counter will be overseen day to day by head chef Takuya Kaneko, who has worked in sushi restaurants for 20 years, including eight at nearby Zuma.

Guests will be able to choose between nine and 12-course omakase menus, with a Japanese à la carte menu also available.

Full menu and pricing details have yet to be announced, but the experience promises to bridge “Amalfi crudo traditions with Japanese culinary precision”.

ALBA opened opposite Harrods on Brompton Road in 2024.

The lavish restaurant serves a seasonally changing Italian menu with a strong focus on seafood, displayed in an open kitchen, alongside dishes such as risotto with prawns and lemon and paccheri with white Alba truffle.

Its southern Italian-inspired interior features citrus trees, a handmade Venetian floor and yacht-style furniture, as well as a gilded cocktail bar and an extensive wine cellar.
