Burger King UK is launching chicken tenders nationwide from 15 September as it looks to capitalise on increasing demand for poultry products.

Chicken has emerged as a key growth area for QSR and restaurant operators with specialist chicken brands including Popeyes, Wingstop and Slim Chickens expanding at pace and Pizza Express expanding into chicken with Mac & Wings and Domino’s launching CHICK ’N’ DIP.

Burger King’s new product is made with 100% chicken breast and coated in a seasoned breadcrumb coating. It will be available in three-, five- and eight-piece portions, priced from £5.99.

The launch is supported by three new sauces exclusive to Burger King: BK flame-grilled mayo, spicy smokehouse ketchup and BBQ mayo.

Burger King will also offer the tenders as part of a meal, with three- and five-piece options served with medium fries, a medium drink and a core dip, from £8.49.

A chicken sharebox will also be available, comprising four tenders, 12 nuggets, two premium dips and two core dips, from £10.49.

The chicken tenders will be available at participating Burger King restaurants nationwide, as well as through the brand’s app and delivery platforms.
