The group, which operates historic coaching inns in market towns and villages across the UK, will invest £8-10m in CAPEX next year. A significant part of the money will focus on investing in and upgrading properties such as The Royal Oak in Welshpool, and two sites that were transferred over from RedCat Hospitality in February 2026.
The group is also in the process of adding 15 new bedrooms to The Feathers in Ledbury (pictured) as a priority to invest in accommodation, growing an improving its existing bed stock
It will also launch a digital loyalty platform called Journey by Coaching Inn Group designed to reward repeat visits, strengthen engagement and enhance the overall customer experience.
“The plans we are setting out now demonstrate our renewed sense of energy, creativity and ambition,” says Adam Charity, The Coaching Group managing director.
“Our investments will be rooted in creating better experiences for our guests, offering a more consistent Coaching Inn Group proficiency while making sure each property retains its own character, heritage and appeal.
“By balancing investment in our existing hotels with our future acquisition plans, we can continue to meet evolving customer expectations while building a stronger, more resilient business for the future.”
In addition, The Coaching Inn Group has appointed David Phillips as property director, where he will be looking at acquisition opportunities that fit within its existing portfolio. It also recently promoted Malcolm Storey to head of food to help drive the next phase of development across the group’s kitchens and restaurants.
