- Gujarati food and craft beer restaurant group Bundobust is to open a second site in Manchester complete with an in-house brewery. Bundobust has secured a 4,000 sq ft site that will have space for 120-140 covers and nine brewing vessels capable of producing 28,500 pints of beer a month.

- Corbin & King is to close its French restaurant Bellanger, in Islington, four years after it was launched. The company says the site's critical success "wasn't matched financially". It also confirmed it has secured a new restaurant site in Notting Hill Gate.

- The Mayfair restaurant empire owned by tycoon Marlon Abela has come under fresh scrutiny after auditors raised a red flag over its accounts.
