Suitably renamed as SpudULike by James Martin, the new food offering includes a range of less-conventional toppings including barbecue pork ribs and 'rainbow' slaw; peri-peri chicken wings; and chickpea daal.
Announcing the new venture on Instagram, Martin said: "So it’s official… look out for the new menu and new look!
"To be honest I’m so bloody excited for you to try the new look (sic) and new menu can’t wait."
Spudulike opened its first outlet in Edinburgh in 1974, and was particularly popular in the 1980s and 1990s.
The group entered administration in August 2019, with all 37 of its remaining restaurants closed. However, just two months later potato supplier Albert Bartlett acquired the brand and revived eight of SpudULike's shopping mall restaurants around the UK in York, Manchester, Livingston, Glasgow, Bluewater, Norwich, Bridgend and Leeds.
It has since added sites in Plymouth and Mansfield, to bring the group's estate to 10 locations in total.
Martin has worked in partnership with with Albert Bartlett to the oversee the rebrand.
As well as jacket potatoes with toppings, the menu includes sides such as leek and potato soup; cheesy garlic bread; and onion bhajis.
