UK travel hub hospitality operator TRGC has debuted a new grab-and-go concept, Wagamama ‘on the move’, at Heathrow Airport Terminal 5.

The new concept has been developed to supply a travel-focused version of the Wagamama offer that combines the brand’s signature flavours with a faster, more flexible format suited to customers moving through the terminal or dining at departure gates.

It features a menu of Wagamama favourites alongside newly developed products designed for travellers, including chicken katsu curry, yasai ramen wrap, and bang bang hash browns, alongside breakfast pots, bao buns, gyoza, and wraps.

TRGC says the concept has been developed to meet a wider demand for high-quality food-to-go in airports, with the concept forming part of its ongoing investment in differentiated food and beverage offers.

“We’re incredibly excited to be launching Wagamama ‘on the move’ at Heathrow Terminal 5 and continuing our strong partnership with the brand through a format designed specifically for modern travel,” says Jonathan Knight, CEO of TRGC.

“Passengers increasingly want high-quality food that fits seamlessly into their journey, and this concept reflects TRGC’s focus on creating innovative dining experiences that combine convenience, speed and quality within high-footfall travel environments.”

Francisco Neves, senior VP of franchise and partnerships at Wagamama, adds: “The launch of ‘on the move’ marks an important evolution for the Wagamama experience, created specifically for the needs of today’s traveller.”

“We know passengers are looking for high-quality food that is both convenient and full of flavour, and ‘on the move’ allows us to deliver exactly that in a fast, flexible format.

“We’re excited to deliver our guest’s classic Wagamama favourites in a new travel-friendly format.”

The launch marks the latest development in TRGC’s strategic partnership with Wagamama, joining locations in both the North and South Terminal at London Gatwick Airport, and follows the relaunch of Gordon Ramsay’s Plane Food restaurant in the terminal late last year.
