Expected to launch in September, Pearl will take its inspiration from the Mediterranean and will be located near The Beaumont within Brown Hart Gardens, an elevated green space above Duke Street.
The standalone venue will operate from early morning until late evening, offering breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks.
The menu will take inspiration from the cuisines of Italy, Spain and Greece, with morning coffee, pastries and breakfast dishes followed by an all-day à la carte menu. For drinks, seasonal cocktails, spritzes and wines will be available.
Designed by EPR Architects, Pearl will include an outdoor terrace inspired by Milanese piazzas and Riviera promenades that will extend into Brown Hart Gardens.
The opening will coincide with the unveiling of a new garden design by the late landscape architect and horticulturalist Nigel Dunnett.
Goodwin-Allen joined The Beaumont as culinary director in 2025 and last year launched Rosi, ‘a classic British restaurant with modern flair’ at The Beaumont.
2025 also saw Goodwin-Allen announce her return as chef patron-director of Michelin-starred Northcote in the Ribble Valley a little more than a month after confirming her departure from the luxury Lancashire hotel’s Michelin-starred restaurant after 23 years behind the stoves.
Her decision, which she announced in April, to return to Northcote followed its sale by The Stafford Collection to Silkstone Finance, the investment vehicle of husband-and-wife team Alf and Clare Ellis, who also run Pontefract-based kitchen manufacturer Ultim.
