Located on the ground floor of the upcoming hotel in Shepherd Market, the 62-cover dining room will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a menu centred on dishes designed to showcase seasonal British ingredients.
It will feature snacks including a lobster and prawn brioche roll; and braised beef short rib croquette, alongside starters such as crispy duck confit salad; citrus-cured trout; and scallops. Main courses will include Gloucester Old Spot pork chop; beef Wellington pithivier; dry-aged steaks; and seasonal vegetarian dishes.

A signature feature of the dessert offering will be puddings by the glass, which reimagines classic British desserts served in tall glasses as a reference to the spectacle of the historic May Fair. The first dessert in the series is a strawberry and champagne trifle, with a new pudding set to be introduced each week inspired by recipes and flavours associated with the former fair. Other desserts on the opening menu include Paris-Brest with pistachio mousseline cream and chocolate chips; baked Alaska with caramelised pear, hazelnut and honey; and blackberry bakewell tart.
The restaurant’s design draws on the history of Shepherd Market and the annual May Fair that once occupied the surrounding fields. Interiors will feature banquette seating, dark timber panelling and a berry-toned colour palette, while bespoke wall coverings by urban artist Adam Ellis depict theatrical scenes inspired by the historic fair, including livestock markets, performers and games of chance.
Fayre is located within The Shepherd Mayfair, an 82-room boutique hotel, set across six floors, occupying the site of what is believed to have been Mayfair’s oldest house, known as The Cottage, which dates back to 1618. The site later became part of the annual May Fair before architect and developer Edward Shepherd transformed the area into the neighbourhood now known as Shepherd Market.
Fayre joins The Lounge, a relaxed café-style space with 46 covers and an outdoor terrace, and Teddy’s, a hidden late-night cocktail bar on the lower ground floor.
The Shepherd Mayfair will open its doors on 1 September 2026.
