The new venue will focus on soft-serve ice cream sundaes with a menu inspired by traditional British ice cream van favourites.
Every ice cream will start with a base of vanilla whippy made with organic milk, brown butter and Madagascan vanilla. Signature items include the Flake 99, made with Big Kid Ice Cream’s own branded chocolate flake.
Also on the menu is the Solero Knickerbocker made with peaches, mango and passionfruit and topped with whipped cream, charred pineapple and a glacé cherry; the hot fudge cookies n’ cream supreme with hot fudge sauce, crushed Oreos, whipped cream, toasted hazelnuts and a cookies and cream flake; and the banana split with brûléed banana, a choice of chocolate fudge, solero ripple or peanut caramel, topped with roasted peanuts, charred pineapple and banana chips.
It will also offer a ‘Brain Freeze’ range of rotating fruit sorbet slushies, ice cream floats and cocktail ice pops and serve as a platform for limited-edition menu items and collaborations.
Big Kid Ice Cream was founded by Harry Webb in 2022 in the West Midlands before expanding to London with an ice cream van operation. The business later opened a permanent scoop shop in Soho.
The announcement comes as Ice Cream Union opens the doors of its second parlour.
First announced earlier this year, the new site is located just off Carnaby Street in Soho, joining the brand’s original parlour in Chelsea that launched in 2019.
The Soho location serves a rotating menu featuring signature flavours such as Banana Split and Dulce de Leche, alongside seasonal sorbets and new product developments.
Founded 20 years ago by Alex Fubini, Ice Cream Union has built a reputation as a premium wholesale ice cream supplier to restaurants, pubs, hotels, cinemas and theatres.
The business supplies chefs and hospitality operators across London and the UK, with customers including Andrew Wong, Sally Clarke, Lina Stores and La Fromagerie.
