Known for its extensive, French-focused wine selection, the Cavendish Square restaurant offered 110 wines by the glass alongside a list of more than 2,000 bins.
Its operating company, Taillevent Operations Limited, formerly known as Taillevent Cavendish Limited, has entered creditors’ voluntary liquidation.
Duncan Coutts and Rupen Patel of Coots & Boots were appointed joint liquidators on 9 October.
Launched in 2015, the restaurant served classic and modern French food, with wine matching central to its proposition. Each dish came with four suggested wines by the glass across different price brackets.
The restaurant was a sister venue to Paris’s two-Michelin-starred Le Taillevent and the separate Les 110 de Taillevent brasserie in the French capital.
The London restaurant was launched by French hospitality group Gardinier, led by brothers Thierry, Laurent and Stéphane Gardinier.
Laurent is now the sole listed director of its operating company.
Les 110 de Taillevent and Coots & Boots have been contacted for comment.
