Announcing the news on Instagram, Coen did not give a reason for his departure.
Coen was recruited to lead the opening of the Talbot Road restaurant by owner Chris D’Sylva in 2022.
Dorian has since become one of the most talked-about restaurants in London, combining old-school hospitality and high-end ingredients within a lively neighbourhood setting.
The restaurant arrived during a period when many diners were moving away from tasting menus and looking for restaurants that offered luxury without excessive ceremony.
Key dishes include Coen’s famed mini röstis- often topped with caviar - and dry-aged steaks served with classic sauces.
Dorian is currently listed as the third best in the UK on Restaurant’s National Restaurant Awards list.
Coen - whose CV aso includes James Knappett’s Kitchen Table - said: “After four years I have decided to step down from my executive role at Dorian.I could never have dreamed of shaping, building and opening the restaurant that Dorian is today. The team I brought together, the energy and soul we built, and the food we created are things I’ll keep with me forever.
Thank you to every single one of you who was part of the journey. Our incredible guests, suppliers, and of course, the team, past and present.”
Dorian has been contacted for comment.
