Amsterdam-founded steakhouse Mr Porter takes former Trader Vic’s site
Netherlands-born steakhouse concept Mr Porter is heading to London with a restaurant in the basement of the Park Lane Hilton Hotel in the space that was once home to Trader Vic’s.

Part of Yossi Eliyahoo and Liran Wizman’s The Entourage Group, Mr Porter ‘artfully blends qualities of the modern steakhouse with the buzz and experience of a chic lounge’ offering ‘unparalleled taste combinations, top-notch techniques, and the finest Aberdeen Scottish beef’.

The London iteration of the brand will join the original Mr Porter in Amsterdam, a site in Barcelona and a pop-up in Ibiza when it launches later this summer.

Menu details are scant, with guests told to expect ‘expertly seared steaks, slow-cooked lamb, mushroom carpaccio and roasted aubergien with grated egg’.

Designed by Baranowitz and Kronenberg, interiors will feature ‘the finest materials to create a refined, intimate interior that also maintains an approachable and comfortable atmosphere’.

Guests will enter into an expansive central bar area before making their way to the formal dining area.

Surrounding the main bar will also be a wine library alongside a lounge, chef’s table and open  kitchen featuring an open fire.

The Entourage Group operates a number of other brands including Momo Restaurant, Bar & Lounge, Izakaya Asian Kitchen & Bar, The Duchess, Do Not Disturb And The Butcher.

Trader Vic’s - a Polynesian restaurant and tiki bar - closed its doors down in 2022 after 60 years.
