Dinner by Heston Blumenthal and Bar Boulud to reopen on 4 December
Both restaurants and the hotel were closed following a fire at the hotel in June, shortly following a multi-million pound renovation of the 181-room hotel along with a ‘soft renovation’ of Dinner by Heston Blumenthal.
The Rosebery Lounge and The Mandarin Bar and the hotel’s spa will also open on the same date as well as all of the hotel’s event spaces.
The hotel says it is delighted to be able to open the restaurants in time for the festive period, with reservations lines now open for the restaurants and bars.
Its guest rooms and suites will reopen next Spring.
The Hyde Park hotel was forced to close in June following a major fire, which is believed to have been caused by welding work. A total of 36 guests and 250 hotel staff were evacuated in the fire, with no injuries reported
The company says it has worked to keeping all hotel colleagues engaged and motivated throughout the restoration and reinstatement program.
More than 50 staff across all departments have made temporary moves to sister Mandarin Oriental hotels across the globe and there has been an ongoing training and teambuilding calendar, including workshops and supplier visits.
Chefs at Dinner by Heston Blumenthal have worked at Bray in the Development Kitchen during the restaurant’s closure.
