Ottolenghi Test Kitchen Mezze
The Ottolenghi team has joined forced with meal-kit specialist Dishpatch for an at-home meal feast created in celebration of the launch of new cookbook Ottolenghi Test Kitchen: Shelf Love. The meal kit includes ingredients for recipes that feature in the book that are simple to put together at home thanks to the team having already done much of the leg work. Dishes follow a mezze format but with a twist and include black lime lamb skewers; mushroom skewers; a brace of flatbreads; caramelised onion and green herb dip; burnt aubergine, tomato, tahini; chaat masala chickpea and polenta chips; and muhallabieh (a rose water flavoured cream pudding) with burnt honey orange syrup, kataifi and pistachio sugar. Bocca di Lupo at Home
Jacob Kenedy's acclaimed Soho restaurant Bocca di Lupo has continued with its at home meal kits beyond the lifting of lockdown. Its latest offering is a BBQ Feast Box in anticipation of the summer months and customers firing up their barbecues at home (although everthing can be cooked on stove top as well). Starters are roast peppers marinated in garlic, chilli and wild herbs served with burrata; and smoked ricotta with grilled aubergines marinated with roast tomatoes, chilli and mint, followed by mains such as a whole brined spring chicken; veal and pork sausage with lemon zest, bay leaves, cinnamon and cloves; a hefty 28-day aged ex-dairy cow sirloin steak; or octopus with gremolata and Sorrento lemon. Roka Finish at Home
Roka has created a range of finish at home kits in time for Easter. Customers can build their own kits from a selection of the restaurant’s signature dishes as well as new ones developed especially for finishing at home. These include baby back pork ribs with sesame glaze, sansho cashew nuts and lime; lamb cutlets with Korean spices and Japanese mushroom; truffle rice, with mountain vegetable and shiso; salmon fillet teriyaki with sansho salt and lemon; and marinated black cod with yuzu miso and pickled radish. Dishes from Lee Tiernan’s Islington restaurant are now available through meal kit delivery platform Big Night across the country. Tiernan will be offering monthly-changing skit featuring a number of BAM cult classics, such as lamb offal flat bread; and mapo tofu, rice noodles and pickles, with the debut menu also featuring a cream egg chocolate cookie with sour cream and Luxardo cherries. Indian restaurant Gunpowder’s Empire Biryani has gone nationwide following a successful trial of the delivery service in the capital. Empire Biryani will feature a menu centred on the Northern Indian tradition of dum biryani, main with either lamb shank, or shahi mushroom. For families there is also a sharing-sized biryani which feeds up to four people. Sides designed to accompany the biryani are also available, including masala chana aloo chaat; achari aloo gobi; pepper chicken fry; and beef boti kebab as well as Hyderabadi egg curry; paneer butter masala and boondi and kachumber raita. Ex-Nobu head chef Jon de Villa has launched his Yuu Kitchen bao boxes nationwide - with customers able to personalise their baos with their own image. Shoreditch’s renowned The Clove Club has joined entered the makeaway fray with The Clove Club at Home. The move follows the success of its sister restaurant Luca's at home offer. Delivered weekly nationwide, the menu is priced at £95 per person and includes house made bread and house churned butter, snacks to begin, five courses including dessert and then three sweets to finish. The menu will change monthly, with the launch menu including cold smoked and cured Wiltshire trout with almond milk, braised kombu and prune kernel oil; XL Orkney scallops baked in brioche with jus gras, ramsons and elderberry capers; and glazed Dartmoor beef with jerusalem artichoke and potato puree, pickled walnut and horseradish. Antona at Home
Following the success of offering at home meals from his Simpsons and The Cross restaurants, Birmingham-based chef restaurateur Andreas Antona has launched an eponymous nationwide meal delivery service. Antona at Home is billed as having high welfare, sustainability and provenance at the centre of its philosophy and offers some dishes from Antona’s restaurants and some inspired by his Greek Cypriot roots. “We used to only know the customers who walked through our doors but the last few months have made us challenge everything that went before,” he says. “Now we are discovering new markets that we want to reach and ways to adapt to this uncertain landscape." Sample dishes include Jerusalem artichoke soup, hazelnut, rocket and truffle pesto and sourdough croutons; slow cooked lamb shoulder, ras el hanout, apricot, cracked wheat, yoghurt and sprouting broccoli; and spiced honey cake with apple, ginger crème anglaise. Chick ‘n’ Sours
'Next level' fried chicken chain Chick ‘n’ Sours have launched their own DIY kits, which feature everything needed to recreate the Chick ‘n’ Sours experience at home, including signature dishes, cocktails, and a 24-hour music playlist. Founders David Wolanski and Carl Clarke have spent months ensuring that each dish replicates the flavours and textures of the restaurant dishes as closely as possible, without home cooks having to master tricky kitchen techniques. Available nationwide, the kits arrive with most of the hard, messy work already done, leaving the customer to just finish cooking the chicken (either by shallow or deep frying), and then assemble the burgers and sides. The 'All In' kit costs £50 and includes burger, wings, tenders, dips, slaw and salads. An 'All In + Sours' kit is also available and costs £75.

Independent pub group Dodo Pub Co is bringing a taste of its pubs to people's homes with the launch of its Homebake Pizzas nationwide. Its Neapolitan pizzas, loved by Dodo's pub goers, are hand made with the dough allowed to rise for 48 hours before being placed in a wood-fired oven to almost cook the base. They are then cooled rapidly to avoid the twice-cooked taste with toppings then added before the pizzas are vacuum sealed for freshness. Each box is created for two or four people to share and includes four Peruvian courses featuring a selection of Lima’s signature dishes, all of which are prepared in Lima London’s restaurant kitchen. Dishes include snacks of Peruvian bread with an acai berry pip; and toasted corn; starters of tuna tartar ‘acevichado’ with avocado mousse and mango tiger’s milk; and a main of short ribs with corn purée, aubergines, and criolla sauce.
