Who is he? Bennett is Managing Director of the London division of contract catering company MITIE Catering Services, which he established just over two years ago.

What else does he do?

Through MITIE he recently developed the ‘City Living' concept of getting employers to feed their staff nutritious food through their staff canteens. By approaching the tendering process from the point of nutrition/staff well-being rather than cost, MITIE works on the principle that healthy staff means better motivation and hard work.

What's his background?

After completing a BSc in Hospitality Management, he trained with Inter- Continental hotels in France before moving into contract catering. As Operations Manager of Compass' fi ne dining arm Restaurant Associates, he secured clients including Lehman Brothers, Bank of America and Reuters group.

How much is he worth?

MITIE Catering Services London posted a £6.5million turnover at the end of its second year in business.

His future plans? Mitie is opening the fi rst of upmarket clothing label Jaeger's cafés in the company's fl agship Regent Street store in February 2007 and will roll out the concept across the rest of the UK. Mitie has also just won the £4m contract to cater for The Brewery event space in London EC1.
