Gallery: Pied à Terre unveils new look
The interior of the Fitzrovia restaurant, run by restaurateur David Moore and head chef Marcus Eaves, has been transformed into a contemporary and relaxed dining space with antique-style hanging lamps, copper panelled walls, calfskin leather banquette seating, handmade wooden furniture and a new 'power table.'
Moore said: "We want Pied à Terre to continue to be the 'go-to' address for the very best fine dining in the West End - and now it feels even more special.
"Our overriding aim was to enhance the restaurant's dining experience. This has been achieved with the use of luxury products like the calfskin leather fixed seating, sitting opposite the Matteograssi hand-made leather chairs from Milan.
"Using small copper panels, we have created walls of glowing warmth with light from the fracked glass, antique-style light fittings, creating depth and texture with the dancing shadows of the lights bouncing in the bevelled mirrors.
"In the main dining area, there has been the addition of a new section of seating which has added a new 'power table' to the plan. Whilst at the front of the restaurant, the smaller dining room has been tweaked to make it more intimate, with further copper panelling adding to the warmth.
"The interior of Pied à Terre has changed little since it was rebuilt following the fire back in 2004, so ten years on it felt right to make some changes, and now the scene is set for foodie fireworks!
