Daniela Tucci
Daniela Tucci joined Paul Askew and his team at The Art School as an apprentice while studying at The City of Liverpool College.
She says: "In my time at The Art School, I have been lucky enough to be mentored by Paul Askew who is joint chairman of the Northern Royal Academy of Culinary Arts."
Although she has experienced working in all areas of the kitchen, Tucci feels her strengths are in pastry, an area she enjoys, however she sees her involvement in the Young National Chef of the Year as a way of broadening her skills.
"I entered the competition to challenge myself and to push myself to develop in other areas of the kitchen. By competing, this has given me greater opportunities and I look to broaden my skills in butchery and fishmongery."
