Digital platform Toast makes its London debut
The technology is designed to help UK restaurants connect their entire business operations covering front of house, kitchen, payments, and restaurant partner integrations.
Features include integrated point of sale payments software, kitchen display systems, cloud-based reporting, and local service and support.
“This announcement marks a significant and exciting moment in Toast’s journey as we bring our technology to the UK to help restaurants and hospitality businesses streamline their operations and improve their performance,” says Jen DiRico, senior vice president and general manager of international at Toast.
“For the last year, our team has been working with selected restaurant and hospitality partners in greater London to ensure our technology meets the needs of UK hospitality businesses. These partnerships have been important in helping us understand how Toast can help hospitality business owners address some of the problems they’re facing in running their businesses and help them thrive.
Toast’s UK team has been working with a number of hospitality businesses, including Le Bab in London across its nine London locations.
“We discovered Toast for the first time during a trip to the US, and when we learned the company was coming to the UK, we wanted to set up a conversation straight away as we felt Toast’s platform was perfectly placed to help us grow further,” says Sam Brotchie, Le Bab COO.
“Two key elements in our decision to work with Toast are the quality of its hardware and payments processing solution, both of which are clearly custom-built for restaurants. Our servers can take payment table-side and Toast’s reporting tools mean the managers of our restaurants are able to manage close out in half the time it used to take.”
