Central London hotel The Goring will relaunch its Michelin-starred The Dining Room restaurant later this month following a full refurbishment.

Designed by Russell Sage Studio, the new interiors draw inspiration from London’s Royal palaces and grand residences.

Design details include bold red furnishings; wallpaper from Fromental in a bespoke green floral design; gold detailing; and  chandeliers.

The kitchen - which is headed by executive chef Graham Squire - is also being overhauled to create a ‘state-of-the-art’ space.

Dishes from the opening menu include roast Orkney scallop, pea, lemon verbena and brown butter; Cornish monkfish, mussels, seaweed, gooseberry and herbs; and Rhug Estate lamb, hot pot pie, lamb fat carrot, pickles and BBQ gem relish.

The Belgravia hotel’s signature Eggs Drumkilbo; and Lobster omelette will also be reimagined and there will be a focused on dishes prepared and served tableside, including beef Wellington; stuffed turbot; and rum baba flambé.

The Goring was opened in 1910 by Otto Goring and is now the only five-star luxury hotel in London that is owned and run by the family that built it.

The Dining Room at The Goring will reopen on 20 May serving lunch and dinner seven days a week.
