Proving that it isn't just established groups that can successfully open new restaurants in the regions, a pair of chefs who met while working for Café Rouge decided to go it alone this month by launching Tarragon - their first restaurant - in Cheltenham.
Sadek Ahmed and Tom Johnson acquired the two-floor restaurant, which had been operating as modern French eatery Armagnac, before re-opening the site with a more casual concept featuring a regularly changing menu of locally sourced produce complementing exotic meats.
