Francesco-Sardelli
The Doyle Collection's South Kensington-based hotel The Kensington has taken on Francesco Sardelli as its new general manager.
Sardelli, who moved to the UK from Puglia, Italy in 1989, has spent 30 years working his way up from room service waiter at Grosvenor House to general manager of the townhouse hotel, working in management roles at a number of London hotels including Brown's, The Baglioni and The Montcalm.
He said: “I am delighted with my new role at The Kensington and to become a member of The Doyle Collection family. Kensington has always been my favourite part of London as it has so much to offer visitors, from beautiful parks to cultural museums and the finest department stores. The Kensington has a wonderful homely feel to it, which is reflected in everything from the furniture and townhouse building façade to every member of staff and the family-owned Doyle brand as a whole. This is what draws our guests back time and time again.”
