Philip M Barnes has joined luxury London hotel The Savoy as regional vice president and managing director.
In his role, Barnes will lead The Savoy’s team in all aspects of operations, guest services and owner relations.
Born, raised and educated in the UK, Barnes has worked at hotels in five continents over the last four decades and joins The Savoy from his recent position as regional vice president, Pacific Northwest Region and general manager, Fairmont Pacific Rim in Vancouver.
He said: "I am delighted to be returning to the U.K. to work with the team at The Savoy. I am confident that together we will continue the journey of excellence this iconic Hotel has enjoyed for over a century.”
